April 1999 photos of the site of the former Kendall Elementary School . Closed as a school, the building later became the Kendall Art Center which local artists used as studios. Unfortunately, the building burned down in 1999, destroying most all of the art within and leaving many artists without an affordable place to use as a workshop.
